Our Wedding: Details and Decor

Hi friends! I’m back with my first detailed wedding post! I am so excited to share many aspects of our day with all of you. I wanted to space out photos into different posts so I could share my favorite moments from our wedding day. I just love being able to share one of the greatest days of our lives with so many people.

Today I am sharing the details and decor from our wedding day. I was honestly extremely simple and laid back when it came to decor because I didn’t want anything over done and just wanted it to be simple. My absolute favorite look is candle light and that’s the biggest thing I wanted to achieve. I wanted our wedding day to truly be about us and our marriage and not let the things that ultimately don’t matter, get in the way. I really do love how detailed brides get and I see some of the most beautiful things every weekend I work a wedding but I just kept things pretty simple 🙂

Below are some of my favorite photos of our decor and detailed items from the wedding day!

I had a David Tutera gown that I purchased from Bravura at East Cobb Avenues. I was on the hunt for a dress exactly like what I got and I knew the second it was on the rack that it was the dress. I put it on and all the emotions hit and I knew instantly!

I created our wedding suite and loved pulling these details together. I purchased opal envelopes that had a pretty shine to them and then used belly bands to pull all the cards together and then finished it with a card with our initials on it. It was tedious but turned out so beautiful. Thank you to Metro Graphics for doing all the printing for us!

The garter was purchased from Etsy! It matched perfectly with everything.

Rings from Kay Jewelers! Love my Neil Lane rings paired with two unique bands surrounding it. Nathan surprised me during our ceremony with the second one!

Another surprise from Nathan on our wedding day. He got me a set of pearl earrings and a necklace. They’re all so beautiful and I wear my pearl earrings every day!

Nathan and I wrote our own vows. I am so glad we did it. I thought I was going to faint reading them in front of everyone but luckily I survived! LOL!

It’s the best being able to repurpose items you already own! This mirror we had in our dining room and his aunt Sarah wrote on it for us as our welcome sign. She did much better than I would ever be able to do! We had greenery on top of it but it blew off :/

Gold china, silverware and champagne glasses.  It was so beautiful! We also had these thank you cards at every place setting. The silverware is from Hobby Lobby. I got the two sets on clearance after Christmas. Always look out for deals y’all! The champagne glasses are from Wayfair and our plates are from Kroger. It was crazy when we found them because we were in Ohio at the time and just came across them. They’re incredible!

Want a wedding cake hack? Sam’s Club. I know, sounds crazy but if you aren’t a huge cake person like me, this did the job for something for us to just cut in to but was also sooo good. Put some flowers on top and bam, a beautiful cake! (Also, it was only $65 for  three tier. Can’t go wrong there.) Cake topper is from Etsy too!

This was one of my favorite touches to our wedding day. I had this made from Etsy and it had some lyrics from the song we danced to as our first dance.

We used a glass terrarium for cards that I found from Michaels. They don’t have the exact one on their website anymore but there were a few others to choose from!

We got some desserts to have from our favorite place Nothing Bundt Cakes! They’re the best and we loved including one of our favorite things. Nathan also had a cookie cake from Great American Cookie Company with a fishing scene on top. It is his favorite!
